Mittens & Toys for Girls & Boys

... I tell you the truth. Anything you did for any of my people here, you also did for me. Matthew 25:40

What is Mittens & Toys for Girls & Boys?

Mittens & Toys for Girls & Boys ministry invites families (those identified by Washington Township Schools as in need of assistance) in December to receive two toys for each child, hats, mittens and non-perishable food items. Over 300 children each year are served. Children and parents have fun making crafts, eating breakfast, and getting their photo taken with Santa.

What others are saying about Mittens & Toys for Girls & Boys.

“A young single mother with two small children who works and tries very hard to meet the needs of her family was offered the opportunity to attend Mittens & Toys for Girls & Boys. She was happy to have the support. She is typically not one to ask for assistance but was very grateful for the opportunity.” Ramla Hampton, Student Programs Advisor, Washington Township Schools

“A grandmother was unprepared after the loss of her daughter to care adequately for her granddaughter. As the school social worker I was able to invite the grandmother to participate in Mittens & Toys. It was a blessing, to see them both smile. Not to mention the relief the grandmother had in not having to worry about where to find the money to obtain clothing, food, school supplies and gifts at Christmastime.” Crystal Haslett, Student Programs Advisor/Homeless Student Liaison, Washington Township Schools
