Leadership Training for Christ

Leadership Training for Christ (LTC) is a program designed to encourage children to actively participate in numerous events and activities in order to build up their faith and expand their “comfort zone.” Its mission is to achieve spiritual, mental, and social growth in our youth by developing skills in leadership, Bible knowledge and Christian service.

LTC starts in the fall with preparation for various events at different times during the year. Each year LTC has a different theme and focuses on a different book of the Bible. Everything culminates with the LTC convention in Indianapolis on Easter weekend in the spring where the efforts of the youth are showcased.

LTC gives our children a fun way to learn leadership skills and develop their talents in ways that glorify God. It also give them the opportunity to build relationships with the other children in the church as they work on many of the events. There are so many event options to choose from that there is something that will interest everyone including singing, speaking, song leading, art, writing, photography, drama, and puppeteering. Students can choose to participate in as many or few events as they wish.

We currently have children participating at all ages. It’s exciting to see even children with special needs successfully participate in many of the events at LTC … LTC has encouraged our children to become more active in leadership roles within the church, learn to speak in front of people, increase their Bible knowledge, teach Bible classes and serve others within the church and in our community.

Light—Life—Word, from the book of John will be the focus of LTC 2009.
