Perspectives for living through biblical counseling

Spiritual guidance for North Central members is provided by intensive listening, analysis of situations and application of life lessons found in the Bible. Prayer and the Word of God are primary sources of wisdom and power in personal sessions that focus on the specific needs and situation of the soul. Counsel is provided in a relaxed, style that is respectful of each person’s value and responsibility before God.

David Mangum, North Central Senior Minister, provides counseling to North Central members who may be facing decision, losses and challenges. “Sometimes we are not sure about what we should do or where we should turn,” says David. “Our heart tells us that the spiritual dimensions of life are very important so we want to seek out a perspective that is from above. We want to feel closer to others and to God. We want to have peace within. The bible and prayer can provide perspective, comfort and guidance for living. Spiritual counsel can be a source of care for the soul.”

David and his wife, Lynette counsel with those planning to marry and with those who are already married and want to enrich their marriages. David counsels with persons who are facing moral dilemmas, life-changing decisions or who have experienced conflict, anxiety, grief or loss.

David and Lynette continue to help couples enter marriages with a greater awareness of what to expect and how to be a loving partner. Through their counseling they help parents in developing strategies in raising children, provide perspective from the Bible, and help others learn to pray in a way that offers guidance and comfort.
