On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Acts 20:7
The Lord’s Supper: Communion with God’s family.
Jesus never asked his disciples to remember his birth. But he did instruct them to remember his death and resurrection. He gave the church a symbolic reminder of his death, and it is referred to in the New Testament as the Lord’s Supper. The Lord’s Supper is an object lesson that represents a great spiritual truth for believers.
We believe that early Christians celebrated the Lord’s Supper every Sunday; therefore, that is what we practice. (Acts 20:7) We believe taking the Lord’s Supper is a blessing and time of remembrance and communion for all believers. Sharing in the Lord’s Supper is open to all who consider themselves followers of Christ.
